HES Basic Master File

The HES Basic Master File is the main database for the Hamlet Evaluation System (HES).

From the HES Command Manual (Section 2.4.3):

The HES Basic Mastet File contains all basic data as reported to the system and the computed ratings for each of the HES models. The file is historical and thus contains all the data reported for each month.

The QTAB is the subsystem that holds the questions.

Hamlet Descriptive Records and Village Descriptive Records hold the USID and UTM coordinates they are used as input when creating Gazetteer files.
